The Waterloo Police Department, in conjunction with the Seneca Falls Police Department, Seneca County Sheriff’s Department, and Seneca County Public Health, will be hosting a car seat check station, Saturday, September 21st, from 9am until 1pm, at the Waterloo Fire Department on E. Water St, Waterloo. This event is part of National Child Passenger Safety Week, running from September 15-21. This event is free to attend, and car seats may be provided on an “as needed” basis.
This event is designed as both an educational event for parents and caregivers, as well as a safety event to ensure car seats are being used properly. It is asked that all participants in the event have the child present to ensure proper fitment.
All are reminded to check over the child safety seat(s) that they are using to ensure they are fitted properly to the child, secured properly in the vehicle, have no recent recalls or defects, and are not expired or unsafe.
If you have any questions leading up to the event, you can reach the Waterloo Police Department at 315-539-2501, or one of the other participating agencies listed above espanolcial.com.
