Arrest – Burglary 2nd, Menacing 2nd, Criminal Mischief 4th, and Attempted Assault

The Waterloo Police Department reports, on March 21st 2022 at about 12:06 PM Waterloo Police arrested David G. Brownell, age 58, of 183 Fall Street, Apartment #1 Seneca Falls, NY. Brownell was charged with Burglary 2nd degree, Menacing 2nd degree, Attempted Assault 3rd degree, and Criminal Mischief 4th degree. It is alleged that on March 14th, 2022 at about 10:30 PM Brownell went to a residence in the Village of Waterloo where he forced his way into the residence damaging the door, struck an individual inside the residence, and menaced another with a firearm. The Waterloo Police department conducted a thorough investigation into the incident which culminated with the suspects arrest and execution of a search warrant at the suspects residence. Brownell was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility where he was held for central arraignment. The Waterloo Police Department was assisted in this investigation by members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca County Probation, New York State Police, and the Seneca Falls Police Department.
