On Saturday 05/18/2019 at 6:06am the Waterloo Police Dept. arrested Jeremy P. Picchi Sr. age 38 of Lovers Lane Alamogordo, NM as a Fugitive from Justice in the State of New York. Mr Picchi is accused of Custodial Interference for violating a custody order issued by the 12th Judicial District Court in Otero County in the State of New Mexico where an active extraditable nationwide arrest warrant was issued for his arrest. Mr. Picchi was located at a residence in the Village of Waterloo and while being taken into custody Mr. Picchi was found to be in possession of a 9mm handgun while not being lawfully permitted to possess the handgun in New York State. Mr. Picchi was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm for unlawfully possessing the handgun in the State of New York. Officers also located a juvenile at the same residence with Mr. Picchi, this juvenile had been reported missing by the New Mexico State Police. Seneca County Child Protective Services was contacted and provided assistance with the juvenile. Mr. Picchi is being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment.
