Arrest Blotter 12/22/24 – 1/1/25

On December 22nd, 2024 at approximately 4:24pm, Arthur N Smith, age 55, of Seneca Falls NY was arrested for driving while intoxicated, obstruction of governmental administration in the 2nd degree, and ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign, possession of an open container in a motor vehicle, holding more than one driver’s license, failure to notify the DMV of an address change, and operating without a seat belt. The arrest stems from a traffic stop where it is alleged that Smith did not stop at a stop sign and was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. It is also alleged that Smith refused to get out of his vehicle when he was told to do so or provide identification to officers. During the traffic stop Smith allegedly was not wearing a seatbelt, had open alcohol containers in his vehicle, held several NYS Driver’s Licenses, and failed to change his address with the DMV. Smith was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment.

On December 26th, 2024 at approximately 3:40pm, Kevin M Doran, age 33, of Rochester NY was arrested for driving while intoxicated, possession of an open container in a motor vehicle, and uninspected motor vehicle. The arrest stems from a traffic stop where it is alleged that Doran was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, had open containers inside the motor vehicle and the vehicle was uninspected. Doran was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment.

On December 27th, 2024 at approximately 5:00 pm a 17 year old juvenile, whose name is being withheld due to age, arrested for harassment in the 2nd degree. The arrest stems from an incident occurring on December 5th, 2024 where it is alleged the juvenile shoved another person to the ground and then proceeded to strike the victim in the face multiple times. The juvenile was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court.

On December 29th, 2024 at approximately 5:00 pm Fabriciano A Canales, age 31, of Auburn, NY was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree. The arrest stems from an incident occurring on August 15th, 2024 where it is alleged Canales damaged the victims property an an amount exceeding $1,500.00. Canales was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment and later released on his own recognizance.

On January 1st, 2025 at approximately 1:56 am officers arrested David J. Peek, age 49, of Waterloo, NY. Peek was charged with Disorderly Conduct following an incident where it was alleged that Peek was throwing household objects on the sidewalk and the street obstructing traffic and creating a hazardous condition. Peek was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court on January 15, 2025. Waterloo Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Seneca Falls Police Department.
