Arrest – Burglary 2nd, Criminal Mischief 3rd and Grand Larceny 4th

The Waterloo Police Department reports, on January 19, 2022 at about 2:35pm officers arrested Daniel S. MacGill, age 26, of Waterloo, NY. MacGill was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, and Petit Larceny. The charges stem from an investigation into burglary that occurred in August 2021 where it is alleged that MacGill forced entry into a residence causing damage, broke into a safe causing damage, and stole cash and a firearm. MacGill is currently incarcerated at the Seneca County Correctional Facility where he will remain to await central arraignment.

The Waterloo Police Department was assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and NYS Parole.
